Drop Shadows  Often when products are silhouetted they can appear to be floating on the page. To help ground them artificial drop shadows are applied. When ordering shadows be sure to specify whether the shadow should be a 4 color shadow or black channel only. This information can be supplied by your printer. Drop shadows of this variety work only on a white background so a drop white silo is required.
